I've never been to a Madison River before, but I can completely see a river in here! I think your choice in colors was great, giving this piece good depth. But what I think is even better are your color transitions! They really add a fantastic layer of movement and flow to the river that I just find mesmerizing! The part I find most fascinating is where the orange transitions to the white, which you would think would be harsh and sudden, but here it gently takes it's time somehow. The light blue reminds me totally of a painted sky in oil paintings. I also really enjoyed the splash of purple you had in there, which again added lots of character.
I find this piece to be overall closer to a painting than a picture, which is something I really adore and find attractive in fractal works. The only hard lines here are the "ripples" and "streaks" across the water, and I'm thankful they're there because they really drag your eye across a lot of details most would have otherwise missed, in addition to aiding the color transitioning.
Overall, fantastic piece! Looking forward to spending more time with your works!
